Job summary

Minnesota Direct Care and Treatment in Willmar is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant 2 to join our CABHH Willmar team. The role involves providing rehabilitation and supportive residential services for children, adolescents, and young adults with behavioral and emotional conditions.

The position features a day shift (8:00am-4:30pm) with occasional evenings, Monday–Friday and some weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in Minnesota or eligible for licensure in Minnesota.
• Associate’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Option A: 18 months of post-licensure OT experience.
• Option B: Associate’s Degree plus Certification as a COTA and at least 6 months of post-licensure OT experience.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate group and individual skill-building interventions for patients with psychiatric and substance abuse concerns.
• Tailor activities to age, culture, cognitive and adaptive levels; coordinate post-discharge services when relevant.
• Observe, document, and report patient progress during interventions.
