Description

The Patient Care Technician assists patients with activities of daily living and selective procedures delegated and communicated by the licensed nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Required qualifications:
  • Coursework/Training: Combined equivalent experience and certification needed for function and level. Or Current graduate of state approved PCT program (CPCT).
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Association for Health Professionals. Or
  • Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician - National Center for Competency Testing. Or
  • Upon hire: National Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant - National Healthcareer Association.
Preferred qualifications:
  • H.S. Diploma or GED.
  • 6 months PCT experience in an acute care setting.
  • 6 months Phlebotomy experience.
