Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Dade City. You will assist in patient care, follow policy and procedure, and work under the direction of a registered nurse to support high-quality, compassionate care.

The role requires a High School Grad or equivalent, BLS/ CPR, and CNA or CPCT/A or NCCT or NCPCT or PCT-C or EMT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification and CNA/CPCT/A/NCCT/NCPCT/ PCT-C or EMT certification are required.
• Prior bedside patient care experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
