Job summary

The Jackson Health System's Lynn Rehabilitation Center in Miami, FL is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver OT treatment to adult and pediatric patients under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. You will follow an established plan of care, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.

Candidates must have an OTA degree, Florida licensure as a COTA, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program is required.
Florida Licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) with 6 months validity is required.

Responsibilities

Specializes in all facets of Occupational Therapy treatment for patients of all ages.
Conducts progressive Occupational Therapy treatment program following the assessment and plan of care by the supervising OT.
Reviews patient status and treatment plan with the supervising therapist and updates the plan as needed.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate treatment and maintain productivity.
Documents patient treatment in the medical record according to policy.
Assists in clinical education of OTA students and participates in quality improvement activities.
Demonstrates CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise).
