Job summary

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital invites applications for a Certified Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist. You will join a highly skilled team supporting cardiac surgery, with access to advanced surgical equipment and structured pathways for professional growth.

Responsibilities include preparing the surgical suite, assisting the surgeon, and maintaining sterility while ensuring patient safety and comfort. BLS is required within 30 days of start, with prior CV/Open Heart tech experience preferred.

Qualifications

• CST certification with OR experience.
• Vocational school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of start date.
• Experience as Cardiovascular/Open Heart surgical tech.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the surgical suite with instruments and supplies for safe, efficient procedures.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while guarding comfort and privacy.
• Scrub in and provide instruments, handle specimens, and anticipate team needs.
• Monitor equipment and patient status during procedures and act quickly as needed.
• Maintain a sterile field, ensure turnover, and support a high-performing team culture.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and organizing the surgical suite with the right instruments, equipment, and supplies to ensure safe, efficient procedures
• Supporting patients with transport, positioning, prepping, and draping while protecting their comfort, privacy, and safety
• Scrubbing in and assisting the surgeon by providing instruments, handling specimens, and anticipating the needs of the team
• Monitoring equipment and patient status throughout procedures, taking quick, effective action when needed
• Maintaining a sterile field, ensuring thorough room turnover, and contributing to a collaborative, high-performing team culture

Qualifications
