Job summary

Concord Hospital in Concord, New Hampshire is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to assist in the operating room under the supervision of perioperative nurses and surgeons.

You will assemble instrumentation and supplies, maintain a sterile field, support the surgical team, and serve as a preceptor for students and new staff.

Qualifications

• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Medical Technician - NH Board certification within one year of hire date.
• National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Plans for surgical procedures by assembling instrumentation, equipment, and necessary supplies.
• Maintains the integrity of the sterile field by aseptic technique.
• Prioritizes needs of the surgical team and department based on daily schedule and case mix.
• Assists with maintaining a clean and safe surgical environment.
• Serves as a preceptor for Surgical Technologist students and new employees.
• Performs job-specific requirements and other duties as assigned.
