The role involves room setup, patient flow management, charting in the EMR, and collaboration with providers and staff to ensure efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate (Washington) within 2 months of hire OR Registered Medical Assistant (Washington) within 2 months of hire.
• Certified Ophthalmic Assistant/Technician/Technologist at hire from IJOH/International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology.
• Basic Life Support within 2 months of hire.
• Graduate of an accredited medical/ophthalmic assisting program preferred.

Responsabilités

• Complies with Kaiser Permanente policies on safety, infection prevention, and confidentiality.
• Prepare examination and treatment rooms, greet patients, and document histories in the EMR.
• Perform/assist with ophthalmic tests (acuity, tonometry, refraction, keratometry) and advanced imaging as ordered.
• Provide scribing support and manage medical documentation in the EMR.
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensure sterile technique, and support procedures.
• Coordinate patient care with ophthalmology, optometry, and related departments.
