Job summary

Gulf Coast Village Skilled Nursing in Cape Coral, FL, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a PRN role within the Volunteers of America National Services network. This position offers $35.00 per hour on a part-time PRN schedule in a welcoming campus setting.

You will provide hands-on care, assist residents with activities of daily living, follow care plans, and support residents’ wellbeing in a compassionate, person-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Therapy Assistant accredited curriculum.
• Eligible for certification and/or licensure per state regulations.
• Registered Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for registration in the state of Florida.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Support residents’ physical and emotional well-being by building meaningful connections and delivering compassionate, person-centered care
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing team to ensure timely and appropriate care
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while following all care plans, safety protocols, and infection control standards

What You Bring (Requirements)

Graduate from a Therapy Assistant accredited curriculum. Eligible for certification and/or licensure per state regulations.

Registered Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or eligible for registration in the state of Florida.

• Long-term care experience (preferred)
