Job summary

Sweetwater Care is seeking a Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join a busy rehabilitation team. You will treat patients under the guidance of an Occupational Therapist and document progress in the medical record, while maintaining the department and supporting staff with care plans.

Responsibilities include attending care conferences, training colleagues, and educating families on maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant in good standing.
• Open to therapists at all experience levels.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist and adhere to facility documentation guidelines.
• Record treatments and progress notes in the medical record.
• Assist in maintaining the department and equipment.
• Participate in Patient Care and Rehabilitation Conferences.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the treatment area.
• Communicate patient progress, problems and plans with supervisor and health team.
• Participate in training programs for other staff.
• Record treatment charges per facility policy.
• Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in maintenance programs.
