Job summary

Providence Health Plan Group is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to support the rehabilitation team at St Mary Medical Center-Walla Walla. The role operates under supervision to deliver OT modalities per an established plan and policy framework.

The ideal candidate has a COTA credential, WA license, BLS certification, an NPI within 30 days, and about 2 years of OT-specific training or experience to meet department needs.

Qualifications

  • Upon hire: Washington Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS – American Heart Association.
  • Within 30 days of hire: Medicare National Provider Identification Number (NPI).
  • 2 years specialized occupational therapy training or experience to meet a particular department need.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an Occupational Therapist.
  • Perform duties under supervision of the rehabilitation leadership team and the therapist responsible for a specific patient’s care.
  • Maintain quality patient care in accordance with hospital and departmental policies.

Job description

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant functions under the general supervision of the rehabilitation leadership team and the Director of Rehabilitation Therapy Services and under the direct supervision of the therapist responsible for a specific patient's care. The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an Occupational Therapist and in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies while maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
