Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group, LP in Texas is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver one-on-one pediatric OT in homes, schools, and daycares. The role emphasizes flexible scheduling with PT/FT/PRN options and a supportive clinical team.

You will work under an OT, document accurately, and help children improve strength, mobility, and daily living skills while engaging families in therapy plans.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current Texas COTA license by anticipated start date.
  • One year pediatric or related experience preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist according to physician-approved treatment plans.
  • Implement interventions to improve strength, mobility, coordination, fine motor skills, activities of daily living, and overall functional independence.
  • Educate families and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and home programs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Qualifications & Responsibilities:
