Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Savannah is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN/Per Diem work in Savannah, GA. You will treat patients with complex needs under the supervision of an OT and document progress.

The role features an extensive orientation, potential for advancement to full-time, and benefits supporting work-life balance. Part-time/Per Diem staff are eligible for a 401k based on hours; compensation is $35.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Certified BLS or completion within 90 days of employment or as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses under supervision of an OT.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Monitoring patient responses and modifying treatment in collaboration with an OT.
• Completing documentation according to department policies.
• Participating in continuing education seminars and in-services.

Responsibilities

• Reporting directly to the Occupational Therapist, you will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.

• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).

• Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.

• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.

• Participating in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education seminars and in-services.
