VitalCaring Group is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for Home Health on a PRN basis in Florida. The role focuses on one-on-one, in-home therapy to restore independence and daily living skills for patients recovering from illness or injury.

You will work under a licensed OT, delivering personalized treatments, documenting progress, and collaborating with nurses and therapists to optimize outcomes for patients in their own homes.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active COTA license/certification in the state of practice.
• Home Health experience strongly preferred.
• Current CPR certification.

Mansioni

• Deliver personalized, goal-directed home health OT under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Implement treatment plans to improve daily living activities.
• Retrain patients in ADLs (dressing, bathing, meal prep).
• Assess and report on patient progress, function, and home safety needs.
• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques, exercises, and safety strategies.
• Identify changes in condition and communicate with the OT care team.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Support a safe, effective, and coordinated plan of care.

What You’ll Do

Work under the direction of a Licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver personalized, goal-driven care:

• Implement treatment plans to improve patients’ ability to perform daily activities


• Provide hands‑on therapy focused on strength, coordination, mobility, and self‑care


• Retrain patients in ADLs (dressing, bathing, meal prep, etc.)


• Assess and report on patient progress, function, and home safety needs


• Educate patients and caregivers on techniques, exercises, and safety strategies


• Identify changes in condition and communicate proactively with the OT and care team


• Complete timely, accurate documentation in the EMR


• Support a safe, effective, and coordinated plan of care

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking COTAs who understand the independence and clinical awareness required in home health:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program


• Active COTA license/certification in the state of practice


• Home Health experience strongly preferred


• Current CPR certification


• Ability to work independently in a field‑based environment


• Strong clinical observation, communication, and time management skills


• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
