Job summary

Kelly Pediatric Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide school-based services in Royersford, PA. The role is 2 days per week, working with grades K-5, under OTR supervision.

This is a 1099 independent contracting position offering mentorship, flexible scheduling, and access to a broad support network. Requirements include a valid COTA license and clearances; experience in school settings preferred.

Qualifications

  • Valid state license as a COTA.
  • Child Abuse, Federal, and State Clearances.

Responsibilities

  • Screen, assess, and evaluate students using appropriate tests and instruments under supervision.
  • Plan and provide specialized therapy techniques through individual and/or group sessions aligned with IEP goals.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to develop IEPs.
  • Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities.
  • Provide consultative services to and involve parents in the therapy program.
  • Compile and maintain all reports and documents per laws and school policy.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of school-based therapy practices.

This role is 2 days a week working with grades K-5.

Responsibilities
  • Screen, assess, and evaluate students using appropriate tests and assessment instruments under the supervision of an OTR.
  • Plan and provide appropriate specialized therapy techniques through individual and/or group sessions designed to meet the educational needs of the student consistent with therapy goals contained in Individual Education Plans (IEP).
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings to develop Individual Education Plans.
  • Evaluate student progress and determine readiness for termination of therapy services.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities.
  • Provide consultative services to and involve parents in the therapy program of their child.
  • Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required in accordance with federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy to include documentation for the need for equipment and materials.
  • Meet the needs of all students effectively by working in partnership with other disciplines.
  • Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rules, and school policy.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of research, theories, and practices associated with therapy in the school-based setting.
