Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Dallas (Plano) is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a high-acuity setting. You will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to implement therapy plans and document progress in a fast-paced inpatient environment in Plano, TX.

The role offers full-time days, Monday–Friday, with a pay range of $30.00–$43.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• BLS certification required or must be completed within 90 days where mandated by state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.
• Conduct individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an OT.
• Monitor patient responses and modify treatment as indicated.
• Complete documentation according to department policies.
• Participate in departmental, hospital, and community continuing education.

• Reporting directly to the Occupational Therapist, you will be treating patients with complex needs and challenging diagnoses.
• Conducting individual patient therapy regimens under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Monitoring patient's response to treatment and modifying treatment during sessions as indicated in collaboration with an OT.
• Completing appropriate documentation according to department policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required or as required by state regulations.
