Job summary

Trilogy Health Services is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide therapy under the supervision of an otolaryngologist? (OT note: under OT supervision) in campus locations, home health, and outpatient settings.

The role supports residents in a senior living environment and requires an OTA license or certification and CPR when available. Responsibilities include documenting progress, collaborating with the OT, and contributing to education for patients and families, with travel

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree.
• Experience: 0-1 years.
• OTA licensure/certification required; CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide OT-directed interventions at campus locations, home health, and outpatient sites.
• Evaluate patient response to treatment and provide feedback to the team.
• Document patient care including progress and continuing need for treatment.
• Collaborate with the occupational therapist to develop education methods for patients and families.
• Assist the occupational therapist in conducting in-service training for team members.
• Contribute to cost-effective care.
• Report complaints/grievances per policy; report incidents immediately.
• Travel to other campus locations and/or home health assignments.
• Comply with resident rights policy.
• Maintain professional competencies and participate in survey preparation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Responsible for providing, under the direction of an occupational therapist, therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. Demonstrates accountability for and contributes to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and performance enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary environment

• Provides therapeutic interventions as directed by the occupational therapist in campus locations, home health and/or outpatient care.
• Evaluates patient response to treatment and provide feedback to the rest of the team.
• Documents the course of patient care including progress made and continuing need for treatment.
• Collaborates with the occupational therapist to develop new methods of delivering education to patients and family.
• Assists the occupational therapist in providing team members with in-service/cross-training on occupational therapy knowledge and skill areas as needed.
• Contributes to the delivery of cost-effective care.
• Reports any complaints and/or grievances made by the residents to the Rehab Program Director or Director of Health Services. Reports incidents or suspected incidents of resident abuse to the Rehab Program Director/Director of Health Services and/or the Executive Director immediately.
• Travel, as needed, to other campus locations and/or to home health assignments in the designated territory.
• Complies with all resident rights per the company’s Resident Rights Policy.
• Maintains professional/technical competencies and proficiencies for job responsibilities.
• Participates in survey preparation activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate Degree

Experience: 0-1 years

Licenses and Certifications

Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification

Current valid CPR certification, preferred

Travel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
