Job summary

Woodbury Heights Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Full-Time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. You will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help patients improve daily living skills.

Experience in home health, inpatient settings, clinics, or pediatric therapy is preferred. W-2 and 1099 options are available; we value compassionate care, clear communication, and teamwork to deliver high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Must hold current COTA certification.
• Experience in home health, inpatient settings, clinics, or pediatric therapy preferred.
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
• Strong communication and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities designed to enhance functional abilities.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment plans and strategies for improving daily living skills.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.

In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide therapeutic services that help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities.

Your expertise in patient care and knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology will be essential in developing effective care plans tailored to each patient's needs.

W-2 and 1099 candidates are both accepted.
