As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will assist the Occupational Therapist in planning, directing, and administering occupational therapy services, ensuring the highest degree of quality resident care.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation of occupational therapy treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities
• Help patients improve their motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Qualifications:

• Must be a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging
• Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
• Familiarity with acute care settings is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
