Job summary

Cassia is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join Valley View Village in Des Moines, Iowa. This PRN position offers a wage range of $37–$40 per hour, with new grads welcome to apply and a convenient Des Moines location.

Responsibilities include assisting OTs with ADLs, monitoring progress, educating patients and families, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care. Des Moines area, on-site role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program and have an Associate’s degree.
• Must possess a current IA Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License
• Must possess strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care.
• Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.
• Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
• Ability to provide patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and skilled nursing facility settings
