Job Description:

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board
• Follow physician treatment plans
• Assist nursing staff with training Restorative Aides
• Communicate patient progress, issues, and plans with supervisors and team members
• Participate in in-service training for staff
• Document evaluations, treatment notes, recertification, complying with OT Board, state, governmental, and third-party requirements
• Record treatment changes according to policies and procedures
• Instruct patients’ families and nursing staff in maintenance and caregiver training, participate in discharge planning
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of treatment areas
• Report equipment issues for proper maintenance
• Maintain positive, effective relationships with patients, families, staff, and colleagues

Required License or Certification:

• Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant License
