Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant for school-based services across Westchester, NY. The role involves direct and indirect treatment with flexible school-hour scheduling and a likelihood of full-time or fee-for-service depending on caseload.

Preferred candidates hold NYS COTA credentials and are passionate about helping children and families, with strong communication and collaborative skills. Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Qualifications

• Current New York State Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Bilingual is a plus; not required but advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement creative individual and/or group therapeutic interventions for all children on your caseload.
• Administer and write up occupational therapy evaluations.
• Ongoing communication with lead supervisors & coordinators, specifically related to case management.
• Maintain professionalism with families, school teams, and other professionals
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance and billing logs.
• Create and maintain schedules with assigned individual families/school personnel.
• Collects data on each IFSP/IEP goal and reports on progress quarterly.
• Provide input and attend/teleconference initial CPSE/CSE meetings and/or annual reviews.

Details about this opportunity:

Location: School Based located across Westchester, NY

Status: Part-Time, Hourly

Hours: 1-5 days/week with flexible schedule during school hours

Compensation:

• Direct Treatment - $50 - $55 /hr
• Indirect Treatment (i.e. notes writing) - $16/hr

Please note this is a range. Rates are determined by the service provided, professional experience and license/certifications held. In addition the position posted may be either full-time or fee-for-service (FFS), depending on the current caseload which will be discussed during the interview. This arrangement can vary and is subject to change.
