Job summary

Texas Rehabilitation Hospital of Keller, operated with Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for PRN weekend shifts. You will work under the direct supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide targeted therapy and carry out treatment plans to restore function and prevent disability after illness or injury.

Applicants must hold a current COTA license/certification and have a current BLS/CPR. Previous patient-care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a current state licensure/certification as a COTA.
• Previous experience in patient care preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy modalities and treatment per OT plan.
• Under supervision of an Occupational Therapist and physician.
• Maintain high-quality patient care and comply with hospital policies.

How You'll Contribute

A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who excels in this role: Functions under the direct supervision of the Occupational Therapist and as directed by a licensed physician, is responsible for a specific patient's care. The COTA assumes responsibility and accountability for providing occupational therapy modalities and treatment procedures as determined by a treatment plan established by an Occupational Therapist in order to restore function and prevent disability following patient illness or injury. The COTA carries out these responsibilities in accordance with established hospital and departmental policies while maintaining the highest degree of quality patient care.

What We’re Looking For
