Job summary

Adept Nursing & Rehab of Waverly is hiring PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) to plan, develop and direct therapy services on-site in Waverly, NE. The role supports the facility's residents under supervision and requires an active OTA license.

Responsibilities include screenings, treatment planning, scheduling, documentation, and CMS-compliant billing. This PRN position offers flexibility, competitive pay based on experience, and opportunities for growth within the team.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• MUST have active OTA licensure in state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine the best intervention or treatment per scope of practice.
• Perform treatment plans and follow short- and long-term goals established by supervising therapist.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers and the interdisciplinary team.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules with other team members.
• Conduct therapy according to the treatment plan and document and bill for services per CMS standards.
• Perform all duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards on a daily basis.

Job Purpose:

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in the facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Education & Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Occupational Therapy

• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain current licensure and certification

Job Functions:

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals based off of the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentation as indicated
