Job summary

The Palace Healthcare and Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join its warm team in Kentucky. You will support individualized treatment plans, work with a multidisciplinary team, and help residents regain independence in daily living activities.

Responsibilities include providing occupational therapy services under a licensed OT, supervising rehab technicians, and adhering to all regulatory guidelines while maintaining compassionate, patient-centered

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
• Valid state Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic internet navigation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in screening and providing input to initial evaluations as appropriate.
• Implement treatment for assigned patients in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Provide direct supervision to rehabilitation technicians during group and individual treatment.
• Participate in utilization review, case management, care conferences, and administrative meetings as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Maintain awareness of changes in patient conditions and communicate progress in a timely manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of organizational, facility, and patient information.
• Report to the Director of Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapist.
• Conduct oneself in an ethical, legal, and professional manner at all times.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Summary

Provide occupational therapy and related services for patients under the direction of a licensed occupational therapist while maintaining positive levels of interaction with facilities and clients in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and within organizational guidelines. Provide quality patient care, including ongoing treatment per a plan of care, supervision of rehabilitation technicians where required, and case management responsibilities. Adhere to all state and federal regulations governing occupational therapy practice.

Job Responsibilities

• Reports to the Director of Rehabilitation and Occupational Therapist.

• Establish and maintain effective patient-centered interactions with patients, interdisciplinary team members, and facility staff.

• Participate in utilization review, case management, care conferences, and administrative meetings as directed by the occupational therapist.


• Maintain awareness of changes in patient conditions and programs, and communicate patient progress in a timely manner.


• Maintain confidentiality of organizational, facility, and patient information.
