Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the AOTA.
• Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable).
• SNF experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of an OTR and according to state guidelines.
• Assist OT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly.
• Document patient progression daily and obtain OTR co-signature on progress notes.
• Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, re-certifications and discharges.
• Assist with additional documentation requirements as per state guidelines.
• Attend facility and rehab meetings as indicated by Supervisor.
• Act as rehab delegate to the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in scheduling of patients as indicated.
• Complete billing logs and bill patients for OT services rendered.
• Cover other therapists’ patient caseload during absences.
• Supervise junior COTA staff or students as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff, patients and families.
• Provide in-service education to rehab staff, facility staff, hospitals and/or community.
• Comply with all facility policies and patient confidentiality rules.
• Report to work on time and maintain professional image.
• Adhere to productivity requirements and submit reports timely.
• Foster a positive work atmosphere and professional communication.
• Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or regional manager.
• Comply with HR policies re: lunch, overtime, and leave.

• 16.Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours, and project a professional image at all times.
• 17.Adhere to productivity requirements, complete productivity reports and submit in a timely manner.
• 18.Maintain a positive work atmosphere by demonstrating and communicating in a professional manner so as to foster positive relations with customers, clients, co-workers and managers
• 19.Perform all other duties assigned by the department supervisor, lead therapist or regional manager.
• 20.Comply with all Facility HR policies re: lunch, overtime, sick and time off notification.
• 21.Adhere to any and all other Facility written and oral policies and procedures.
