Job summary

Role & Responsibilities:

• The COTA provides diagnostic evaluations and implements treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OTR).
• They assist patients in reaching optimal functional performance through therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment training, and environmental modifications.
• Responsibilities include designing and administering individualized therapy programs, fabricating splints and adaptive devices, and conducting home assessments.
• They also provide education on energy conservation, safety, and self-care techniques for patients and their families.
• Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate patient records, participating in support groups, and ensuring compliance with safety, privacy, and community policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy, current registration with relevant professional bodies, and possess strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with adaptive tools are preferred.
