StoneBridge Maryland Heights is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents and medical staff in daily care. The role requires patience, empathy, and a sincere desire to care for the elderly in a gentle, respectful manner.

Join our caregiver family and help with activities of daily living, documentation, and collaboration with a dedicated care team. A valid CNA certification and CPR/BLS are preferred, with at least one year in long-term care.

Qualificações

• Must be a certified nursing aide in good standing or graduate of state-approved CNA program with exam passed within 120 days
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• At least 1 year of long-term care CNA experience preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication in interdisciplinary care setting

Responsabilidades

• Assist residents with activities of daily living per care plans
• Support nursing staff and other team members as needed
• Assist with transferring, turning, positioning, and transporting residents
• Coordinate dining room services and deliver meals and supplements
• Document meal intake and resident progress
• Record weights and report changes to nurse/supervisor
• Monitor skin condition and report issues to nurse/supervisor
• Assist with toileting programs and maintain flow sheets

A Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to residents with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. The position requires patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the elderly in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists resident with or performs activities of daily living for resident in accordance with care plans and established policies and procedures.
• Assists resident with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Coordinates dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up and clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
• Delivers nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and provides assistance as necessary to ensure intake. Documents intake accordingly.
• Assists with weighing residents according to facility policy, and records weight in designated locations. Reports weight changes to nurse and supervisor.
• Assists with tracking the condition of the resident's skin. Reports any presence of pressure areas, skin breakdown or skin tears to nurse and supervisor.
• Assists nursing staff in carrying out toileting program activities.
• Completes flow sheets daily to indicate that the specified task was done. Documents the progress of each resident as directed by supervisor.
• Keeps nurse and supervisor informed of factors that interfere with being able to perform the work as assigned (i.e., resident refusal, reassigned to nursing unit).
• Reports changes in a resident’s condition to the resident’s nurse and supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

• Certified Nursing Aide in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state-approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state-approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment REQUIRED
• High School Graduate/GED preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant in long-term care preferred.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.
