StoneBridge Senior Living in Owensville, MO is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents with patience and empathy in a senior care setting.

The role partners with nursing staff to follow care plans, assist with daily living activities, and document resident progress. We offer PTO, health benefits, 401(k), flexible scheduling, and training opportunities to help you grow with our family.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Aide in good standing or graduate of state-approved CNA program.
• One year of long-term care CNA experience preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication in an interdisciplinary care setting.

Responsabilités

• Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists resident with activities of daily living per care plans and policies.
• Assists resident with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting.
• Coordinates dining room services at meals, including setup, delivery, and documentation.
• Delivers nutritional supplements and documents intake.
• Assists with weighing residents and reports weight changes to nurse/supervisor.
• Monitors skin condition and reports concerns to nurse/supervisor.
• Assists with toileting program activities.
• Completes flow sheets daily and documents resident progress.
• Notifies nurse of factors interfering with care or changes in condition.

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN OWENSVILLE, MO

A Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for supporting medical staff in administering care to residents with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. The position requires patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the elderly in a gentle and empathetic manner.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provides supportive services to nurse(s) and other staff as needed and performs duties as assigned.
• Assists resident with or performs activities of daily living for resident in accordance with care plans and established policies and procedures.
• Assists resident with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
• Coordinates dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up and clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
• Delivers nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and provides assistance as necessary to ensure intake. Documents intake accordingly.
• Assists with weighing residents according to facility policy, and records weight in designated locations. Reports weight changes to nurse and supervisor.
• Assists with tracking the condition of the resident’s skin. Reports any presence of pressure areas, skin breakdown or skin tears to nurse and supervisor.
• Assists nursing staff in carrying out toileting program activities.
• Completes flow sheets daily to indicate that the specified task was done. Documents the progress of each resident as directed by supervisor.
• Keeps nurse and supervisor informed of factors that interfere with being able to perform the work as assigned (i.e., resident refusal, reassigned to nursing unit).
• Reports changes in a resident’s condition to the resident’s nurse and supervisor.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

• Certified Nursing Aide in good standing with the certification board or is a graduate of a state-approved nursing assistant training program and passed a state-approved competency examination (written and skills) within 120 days of employment REQUIRED
• High School Graduate/GED preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• At least one year of experience as a certified nursing assistant in long-term care preferred.
• Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary care setting with residents, families, and staff members.
