Job summary

East Alabama Health is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to residents under the supervision of a nurse. This role requires a high school diploma and the ability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week at EAMC Lanier Nursing Home.

Qualified candidates will maintain a GPA of 2.5 and achieve a TEAS score of 65%. Previous nursing home experience is preferred to enhance the care provided to residents.

POSITION SUMMARY

The CNA assists in the delivery of direct resident care under the supervision of a nurse and receives written and/or verbal assignments and directions.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Achieve a minimum TEAS score of 65% by communicated deadline
• Must work a minimum of 24 hours per week at EAMC Lanier Nursing Home for EAH to cover the cost of the six prerequisite courses required for admission to the on-site Practical Nursing (PN) program
• BLS within 90 days of DOH/transfer

ADDITIONAL PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

• To remain eligible for automatic acceptance into the EAH LPN Program, participants must earn a “C” or higher in each prerequisite course

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• One year or more nursing home experience.
