Boston Medical Center is looking for a Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse. The Nursing Assistant performs basic patient care activities as delegated by the registered Nurse, assisting nursing staff in providing quality patient care.
Supervised or reports to the Patient Care Director or designee and the Registered Nurse.
Authorized to give basic patient care as directed by the Registered Nurse and to perform other assigned tasks.
Essential Functions:
Non‑Essential Functions: Perform related duties as required.
Report immediately to the Patient Care Director, supervisor, or Registered Nurse regarding deviations, unusual occurrences, changes in patient condition, incidents, or breaches in quality care.
Hold responsibility for patient care delivered, maintaining confidentiality of hospital and patient information, and abiding by all relevant policies, including Infection Control.
Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalency.
Minimum Experience: Prior Nursing Assistant experience or completion of one clinical rotation for nursing students.
Minimum Skills: Verbal and written communication in English, basic math computations for treatment protocols, and ability to lift, transfer, and move patients.
Certification/Licensure: Certified Nursing Assistant Certification required; BLS required.
