Riverside Health in Williamsburg, VA is hiring a part-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct care under supervision of the Nursing Manager and RN/LPN. The role includes personal hygiene, mobility support, meal assistance, and activity facilitation, with strong emphasis on resident advocacy and documentation.

Candidates must have or obtain CNA certification (VDHP) on hire and complete CPR/BLS and First Aid within 30 days. Prior CNA experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct resident care preferred (less than 1 year).
• CPR/BLS Certification within 30 days of hire.
• First Aid Certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Attends to residents' personal hygiene and care, including grooming, dining, mobility, and safety.
• Organizes supplies and monitors residents to identify changes and reports them to nursing/household leadership.
• Follows universal precautions, infection control, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Maintains clean spaces in the Household and supports meal preparation and service.
• Assists with laundry and supports activities and resident preferences.
• Documents caregiving, medications, treatments, dining, and activity records in the Household.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs tasks essential to the direct care of the resident according to facility policy and procedures.What you will doAttends to all resident/guest personal hygiene and personal care needs, including but not limited to grooming, hygiene, dining and nutritional, mobility, elimination, psychosocial and safety needs. Organizes all supplies necessary to complete the tasks. Observes residents/guests closely, identifying changing needs and conditions at first indication, and reports immediately to nursing or household leadership as appropriate.Follows universal precautions, proper infection control, sanitation and safety standards of practice in all work and activities.Demonstrates responsible, dependable and reliable behavior by being present for work as scheduled. Adheres to attendance policy.Participates actively in the care planning and/or care conference for residents and guests, serving as their closest advocate in directing their plan of care and honoring their choices and preferences.Assists residents/guests as needed to wash, iron, fold and sort their personal laundry to ensure personal laundry is maintained in quality condition.Maintains clean spaces in the Household, including resident/guest rooms, household common spaces, as well as support spaces and equipment.
