Job Summary

Provides personal nursing care to patients under the direction of a licensed RN. Performs tasks associated with activities of daily living, reports patient status and concerns, and supports the RN in delivering patient care.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent (preferred)
• Ability to assist with patient nutrition, hydration, personal care and positioning.
• Proficiency in basic nursing tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting with bathing, dressing, feeding.

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor – required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) – required.
• Phlebotomy Certification – preferred in California and Hawaii.
• Audiometry and vision training or certificate from CHDP – preferred.

Essential Functions

• Assist with activities of daily living, including nutrition, hydration, elimination, personal care, positioning, restraints and restorative care.
• Take vital signs, including pulse and blood pressure.
• Help patients with bathing, dressing, feeding.
• Perform clerical duties such as routing patient reports, managing unit workflow, and prioritizing tasks.
• Provide assessment data to the RN within scope, including vital signs and patient responses.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.
