Job summary

Seaside Skilled Rehabilitation Center in Portland, ME, is seeking a CNA-Med Tech to support our residents' care. You will administer medications under nurse supervision, monitor vitals, and document treatments while maintaining safety and accuracy in daily operations.

Under the supervision of a licensed nurse and in compliance with state and facility policy, you will assist with medication handling, report issues promptly, and help keep the EMR up to date to ensure high-quality, compassionate

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Graduate of a state-approved CNA program and Maine CNA Registry.
• Successful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant-Medication training program.
• Ability to interact with our EMR system.

Responsibilities

• Administers routinely scheduled oral and topical medications under nurse supervision.
• Monitors and records vital signs according to physician orders and standards.
• Reports any unusual medication side effects to Charge Nurse.
• Maintains accurate documentation of medications and treatments.
• Assists with returning, re-ordering, and destroying medications per policy.
• Notifies Charge Nurse of outdates or shortages of medications or supplies.
• Suggests improvements to the medication system to Charge Nurse.

Hourly rate $25.00 - $30.00

Hiring Bonus $2,500

Those who were previously employed or are employed by any First Atlantic facility within the past six months will not be eligible for the bonus

CNA-Med Tech Job Summary

As part of a strong clinical team, providing amazing care and service to our Residents is the primary responsibility of our Med Tech. The purpose of this position is to administer medications to each resident ensuring they receive the necessary care and services to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being through the comprehensive assessment and plan of care. The CNA-Med Tech works under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse as assigned and by State/ Federal regulations and facility procedures and reports observations to the licensed nurse on duty; maintains clean and orderly equipment for medication administration. Reports to Charge Nurse.

Responsibilities And Duties Include But Not Limited To

• Administers routinely scheduled oral and topical medications according to physician order via scanning per policy to assigned residents
• Monitors and records vital sign according to physician orders and standards to practice
• Reports any unusual or unwanted medication side effects to Charge Nurse
• Maintains accurate documentation of all medications and treatments based on policy and best practices
• Assists Charge Nurse with returning, re-ordering, and destroying medications per facility policy
• Notifies Charge Nurse of any outdates medication and any projected shortage of medications or supplies
• Makes suggestions to resolve problems or streamline the medication system to Charge Nurse

Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED
• Must be able interact our computer-based Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system
• Must be a graduate of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program and on the Maine CNA Registry
• Successful completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant-Medication training program
