Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to join our compassionate team in Kentucky. CNAs provide direct resident care under nurse supervision and assist with activities, meals, and daily living tasks in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care settings.

The ideal candidate has a state-approved Nursing Assistant program, is listed on the state registry, and demonstrates teamwork and compassion in a faith-based community.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion and passing of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
• Listed on the State Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care under the supervision of a nurse.
• Assist with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Help prepare residents for meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Maintain clean and orderly resident rooms and assist with changes of linens.

In this role the Certified Nursing Assistant will:

• Reports directly to the nurse manager, may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
• Provides direct care to residents on a daily basis.
• Position also assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Position is service in nature, in performance of duties the resident care assistant is entrusted to assist residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignment.
• This includes but is not limited to bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toilet activities, grooming, feeding, transportation/transfer, etc.
• Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner by providing light housekeeping, changing linen, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside table, shelves, closets, and cleaning bathrooms, etc.
• Assist with resident laundry assuring clothes are marked, clean and mended, ironed, and put away.
• Notify supervisor of clothing needs as they occur.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals and feeding of residents.
• May be cross trained in Assisted Living.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Completion and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.
• Listed on the State’s Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Compensation Pay Range:

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Reasonable Pay Estimate

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
