Job summary

Provident Behavioral Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and support residents’ psychosocial needs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, infection control, safety, and accurate documentation, with opportunities for professional development and ongoing CEU requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16 to qualify.
• CNA certification or enrollment in a certification program.
• Annual competency tests and at least 12 hours CEU per year.
• Knowledge of infection control, safety and transfer techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, dressing and toileting.
• Record vital signs and monitor changes in condition.
• Support psychosocial needs and participate in wellness activities.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning and mobility exercises.
• Help with meal preparation and dining; document interactions.
• Collect non-invasive specimens when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness through housekeeping and laundry.
• Support nursing staff with procedures as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age 16; CNAs must hold state certification or enroll in a certification program; complete annual competency tests and continuing education (minimum 12 hours); knowledge of infection control, resident safety, and proper transfer techniques; ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
