Job summary

Ferry County Health is seeking a Nurse Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of registered and licensed practical nurses. The NAC will assist residents with daily living activities and help maintain a safe, clean patient environment.

The incumbent may float to Acute Care or Non-Skilled Swing Bed Unit as needed for safe staffing after orientation, and will document care in the electronic medical record in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Current Nurse Assistant Certification (NAC) in State of Washington.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support certification required at time of hire and throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care under the direction of an RN or LPN.
• Assists residents in activities of daily living and maintains a safe, clean environment.
• Floats to Acute Care or Non-Skilled Swing Bed Unit as needed after unit orientation.
• Aids in admission, transfer and discharge procedures.
• Documents patient care in the electronic medical record.
