Job summary

Providence St Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision. The role supports a patient-centered, whole-person care approach, within a dedicated team delivering compassionate service and professional growth withinProvidence’s mission.

Full-time, 36-hour weekly schedule with three 12-hour day shifts. Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification is required, plus BLS within 30 days of hire.

Job description

DescriptionProvides and assists in the provision of, direct patient care under the supervision of a RN/LPN and whose activities require an understanding of basic anatomical, biological, psychological, cultural, and social sciences.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Successful completion of an Alaska state-approved Nursing Assistant Certification course or other education which meets state certification requirements.
• Upon hire: Alaska Nursing Assistant Certification License
• Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Some college courses in nursing or therapy field.
• 3 months Nursing assistant experience in acute or extended care.
