Job summary

Right at Home Monterey Bay is seeking compassionate CNAs, caregivers, and HHAs to help seniors and adults with disabilities live safely and independently in their own homes.

We provide PPE and flexible shifts in a fast-growing home care company with over 25 years of experience. Expect meaningful, hands-on work that truly makes a difference in clients' daily lives.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to read, write, and understand English at work
• Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience (family or professional)
• Willing to commute to Santa Cruz, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Soquel areas
• Possess a valid driver's license and current auto insurance
• Pass a background check
• CNA, Home Health Aide, or Personal Care Aide certification preferred
• Willing to complete onboarding paperwork

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living
• Move/transfer clients within the home
• Limit housekeeping to 20% of duties
• Prepare meals and snacks per instructions
• Accompany clients to errands or medical appointments
• Provide bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with range of motion exercises
• Dementia care and companionship activities

Responsibilities and Duties

In this role, you will have the chance to perform personal care activities that assist the client with activities of daily living, which include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting with transferring/moving clients from place to place throughout their home
• No more than 20%performing housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry, and cleaning the bathroom to assist client(s)?
• Preparing meals and snacks according to instructions
• Accompanying clients on errands or medical appointments
• Bathing/Showering/Dressing/Shaving
• Medication reminders
• Assisting with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Dementia care
• Companionship activities such as reading, music, puzzles, etc.
