Job Summary

Vighter recruits healthcare professionals to conduct basic screening assessments and provide healthcare services to individuals detained by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). HCPs work administratively under the Regional Program Managers and under medical direction of the National Medical Director and Physician Supervisors, collaborating with CBP’s Office of the Chief Medical Officer. Services are delivered per approved medical protocols and DHS directives.

Healthcare is provided at various locations near the border, including detention settings that may have minimal facilities or be in field conditions. Candidates must be comfortable working in such environments and providing care for all ages, including infants, children, adults, and pregnant women.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of clinical experience and licensed/certified as a CNA
  • Completion of an accredited US-based CNA training program
  • Current, active, unencumbered license/registration/certification in the work state
  • Valid BLS certification from AHA, Red Cross, or ASHI
  • Experience in detention or correctional healthcare is highly preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Compliance with DHS and CBP policies and regulations
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality and accurate records
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems
  • Ability to respond to emergencies and work in diverse environments
Physical and Other Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, sit for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform CPR if necessary
  • Willingness to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Pass criminal background check and drug screening
Additional Details

This is a travel position across Texas, with potential for work at various sites within 50 miles of the assigned location. Compensation includes a competitive hourly rate and benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and holidays. The role is contingent upon contract award.
