Under close supervision of a licensed nurse, provides basic and intermediate nursing care for assigned group of patients based on competence.
Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year hospital experience
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of a current state or national nurse's aide certification or a certification as a phlebotomist, medical technician, patient care technician, medical assistant, EKG tech or in another related field.
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): BLS –Obtained through approved American Heart Association Training Center. C.N.A., M.A., P.C.T., E.K.G., E.M.T. or Phlebotomist Certification required. BLS required within 10 days of hire or transfer into unit.
