Prisma Health in Greenville, SC seeks a motivated Nursing Assistant to support patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, vital signs, and basic care while ensuring a clean, safe patient environment at Greenville Memorial Hospital.

The role involves collecting data, reporting changes to the RN, and performing delegated tasks such as simple dressings and non-sterile care. Night shift and on-site work at Surgical Specialty.

Qualifications

Responsabilités

• Assists patients with activities of daily living and repositioning.
• Performs basic nursing tasks delegated by the RN, including simple dressings and perineal care.
• Collects and documents vital signs and basic/sterile specimens.
• Reports changes to the RN and maintains patient data in the medical record.
• Runs errands and manages call lights and phone communications.
• Performs point-of-care testing as trained and reports results.

Job Summary

Assists in providing patient care based on the individualized plan of care for a patient. As delegated, performs basic nursing activities. Conducts data collection, monitors and documents patient status. Ensures confidentiality of all patient information. Utilizes safe patient handling at all times. Informs RN of activities performed observations of patients and changes in patient status. Provides a neat and clean patient environment.

Essential Functions

• Assists patients with activities of daily living. Turns and repositions patients alone or with assistance. May transport patients and assist with walking. Assists with fall prevention interventions and patient restraints as delegated.
• Provides patient care as delegated by the RN including, but not limited to, non-sterile soaks, application of non-sterile simple dressings, perineal care.
• Performs data collection including vital signs, fluid intake and outtake and basic and sterile specimen collection. Properly documents and maintains data on medical record and informs RN of activities performed, observations of patients and changes in patient status.
• Runs errands, answers telephone, answers and responds to call lights.
• Performs point of care testing as trained and delegated by RN. Reports lab values to RN.
• Provides and documents comfort and non-pharmacological pain management measures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

• This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.

• Education - Completion of a nursing assistant or patient care tech program.
• Experience - No experience required.

In Lieu Of

• In lieu of school verification of a nursing assistant training course, will accept current or former state CN A certification as proof of completed state required training at time of hire.
