Job summary

Bella Senior Care in Michigan is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate in-home care and help clients maintain independence. Primary tasks include personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping and medication reminders.

You will document activities in ESRP, coordinate with management, and may assist with mobility, transportation, and night-time routines as needed. Weekend availability is required; a dependable vehicle and insurance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Fluent reading and writing of English required.
• Must have reliable personal transportation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with walking and light exercise.
• Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming and incontinence care.
• Plan & prepare meals followed by cleanup.
• Make beds and change bed linens.
• Light housekeeping (dusting, vacuuming).
• Clean bathroom and kitchen for a safe environment.
• Do laundry.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Run errands as directed by management.
• Provide incidental transportation using client or caregiver vehicle.
• Assist client in sleep-over situations and during night.
• Assist client to and from bed and in the morning cleanup.

OBJECTIVE

To provide professional caregiving services and enable the clients to remain independent in his or her own home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with walking and light exercise
• Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming and incontinence care
• Plan & prepare meals followed by cleanup
• Make beds and change bed linens
• Light housekeeping to include light dusting and light vacuuming
• Cleaning of the bathroom and kitchen to maintain a safe and healthy environment
• Laundry
• Medication Reminders
• Run errands if directed by management
• Provide incidental transportation using clients or caregiver vehicle
• In sleep-over situations
• Assist the client to and from bed
• Assist the client throughout the night
• Prepare morning meals and cleanup
• Launder your sheets

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Document activities in the ESRP system daily
• Record hours worked on the ESRP System if not able to do so please use the back up procedure and submit a timesheet signed by the client and management.
• Report any significant client changes to management immediately

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
• Ability to read and write English at an average adult level
• Ability to speak English clearly, both in person and over the phone
• Ability to drive or use public transportation to get to work
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations

Additional Requirements

• Have a dependable vehicle that is registered and currently insured.
• Have access to a computer or smart phone and internet.
• Have an active email account.
• Must be available to work every other weekend!!!
