Job summary

Covenant Living is seeking qualified CNAs to support residents in assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. You will report to the nurse manager, provide daily direct care, assist with activities, housekeeping, laundry and dining, and help with personal care per procedures.

Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of an approved Nursing Assistant program, and state registry listing. We offer a generous benefits package for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Completion and passing of an approved Nursing Assistant program in the state.
• Listed on the State Nursing Assistant Registry.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the nurse manager; may take direction from licensed nurses on duty.
• Provides direct care to residents daily.
• Assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Assists residents with basic personal care per procedures and daily assignments.
• Duties include bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toileting, grooming and feeding.
• Keeps resident rooms clean and orderly; changes linens and tidies spaces.
• Assists with laundry; ensures clothes are marked, clean, and put away.
• Notifies supervisor of clothing needs as they occur.
• Prepares residents for meals and assists with serving and feeding.
• Weekend duties as applicable.

In This Role The Certified Nursing Assistant Will

• Reports directly to the nurse manager, may also take direction from licensed nurses on duty or other supervisory staff.
• Provides direct care to residents on a daily basis.
• Position also assists with activities, light housekeeping, laundry, and dining services.
• Position is service in nature, in performance of duties the resident care assistant is entrusted to assist residents with basic personal care according to procedures and daily assignment.
• This includes but is not limited to bathing, dressing, dental hygiene, toilet activities, grooming, feeding, transportation/transfer, etc.
• Maintain resident rooms in a clean and orderly manner by providing light housekeeping, changing linen, making beds, putting away clothing and personal effects, tidying bedside table, shelves, closets, and cleaning bathrooms, etc.
• Assist with resident laundry assuring clothes are marked, clean and mended, ironed, and put away.
• Notify supervisor of clothing needs as they occur.
• Prepare residents for meals, assist with serving meals and feeding of residents.
• For Weekends

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• High School diploma or the equivalent.
• Completion and passing the test for an approved Nursing Assistant program in the State.
• Listed on the State's Health Nursing Assistant Registry.

Compensation Pay Range

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour

Reasonable Pay Estimate

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. There are numerous factors taken into consideration in determining the actual offered rate of pay, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, experience, skills, education, geographic location, and consideration of internal and external equity.
