Job summary

Signature HealthCARE of Roanoke Rapids is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver direct resident care under licensed nurses, promote a compassionate environment, and support daily living activities in a 108-bed facility.

PT 7am to 3pm; every other weekend. You’ll help with ADLs, vitals, and mobility, participate in training, and contribute to our resident-centered care culture. Benefits include medical, dental, 401(k), PTO, tuition assistance, and more.

Qualifications

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under licensed nursing staff.
• Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Function independently with integrity and stakeholder interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Assist with activities of daily living within the scope defined by state regulations and resident plan of care.
• Record resident vitals, weights, intake/output, and other information as assigned.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate devices and body mechanics.
• Turn and position residents; maintain cleanliness and hygiene in rooms.
• Support resident rights and participate in staff training and orientation.

How you Will make a difference

Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel. Assist with promoting a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment for the residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

• Provide activities of daily living (ADLs) within the scope of practice as defined by state regulation and the resident's plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident room on a regular basis.
• Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other information, as assigned.
• Routinely turn and position residents, as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist in the orientation and training of other staff, as requested.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.

What you Need to make a Difference
