Job summary

PAM Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to assist with patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. The role focuses on supportive patient services, following hospital policies and guidelines.

The CNA does not administer medications and works within its defined scope of practice. Education includes a high school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification as required by state and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification as required by state.
• Current BLS certification required.
• No prior experience required; 2–3 years in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse.
• Do not administer medications or therapies; follow PAM Health policies and procedures.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
