Job summary

Westminster-Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay & Senior Options, LLC in Virginia Beach is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (Hospice House) to provide compassionate end-of-life care. You will assist patients with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and support families in a peaceful hospice setting.

This on-site, PRN role offers a schedule across day and night shifts with rotating weekends. Competitive hourly pay plus comprehensive benefits are included for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license in the State of Virginia (unencumbered).
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
• Willingness to complete a food sanitation course after hire.
• Flu-Vaccinated.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily activities, mobility, and personal care.
• Monitor and record vital signs as part of the care plan.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment in compliance with infection control protocols.

The Dozoretz Hospice House of Hampton Roads is a nonprofit organization that provides compassionate respite and end-of-life care for those on hospice services in a peaceful and homelike environment. As a Certified Nursing Assistant-CNA (Hospice House), you will play a vital role in providing care and support to patients during their end-of-life journey.

What You’ll Do In This Role

• Assist patients with daily activities, mobility, and personal care.
• Monitor and record vital signs as part of the care plan.
• Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and families.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment in compliance with infection control protocols.
• Assist with meal preparation and serving, adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
• Communicate patient needs and changes to the healthcare team.

• Ability to assist with patient transfers and mobility (up to 100 lbs with assistance)

Required

The Experience You’ll Bring

• Current CNA license in the State of Virginia (unencumbered)

• Flu-Vaccinated

Preferred

• Hands -on clinical experience preferred

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation Range: $18.17- $20.00/hour (based on relevant experience)
