Job summary

PAM Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Katy in Houston, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). The CNA provides patient care under RN/LPN supervision, does not administer meds, supports daily living activities, and helps create a comfortable environment for rehab patients.

Requirements include high school diploma or equivalent, CNA certification as required by state, and current BLS. Prior experience is not required though 2–3 years in hospital or rehab setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA certification required by state where hospital resides.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• The CNA is responsible for performing patient care activities and accommodative services under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Does not administer medications or therapy.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety and supports rehab activities as directed.

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing various patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Performs patient care activities within the limits of the position. Does not administer medications or therapy. Does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Job duties are accomplished in a manner consistent with the policies, procedures and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

• Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification is required.
• Experience: None required. A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit is preferred.
