Job summary

MaineTouch LLC in Orono, ME is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide compassionate in-home care for adults and seniors. CNAs assist with daily activities, promote safety, and help clients maintain independence in their own homes.

We offer flexible scheduling (day, evening, weekend, overnight), both full-time and part-time roles, and a pay rate of $18.00 – $21.00 per hour based on experience and availability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active Maine CNA license (required).
• Must not appear on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily care tasks.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Access to a working cell phone.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred (assignment dependent).
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care needs (bathing, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting, hygiene).
• Provide mobility assistance (transfers, ambulation, safe use of devices).
• Measure and document vital signs and basic health observations as directed.
• Support daily care tasks (light housekeeping, laundry, linen changes, meal prep).
• Assist with meal service and feeding when needed.
• Offer companionship and emotional support while promoting independence.
• Monitor client condition and report concerns promptly to nursing staff.
• Identify and report safety risks or environmental concerns.
• Perform only tasks within CNA scope and care plan.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on schedule.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures; maintain HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to emergencies and report incidents immediately.
• Treat clients with respect, dignity, and professionalism.
• Maintain dependable attendance and adhere to schedules.

Job Description / Duties

Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) provide direct care and basic health support services in accordance with each client's approved care plan and MaineTouch standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Following infection control, safety procedures, and universal precautions

• Maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times

• Responding appropriately to emergency situations and reporting incidents immediately

• Treating all clients with respect, dignity, and professionalism

• Maintaining dependable attendance and adhering to assigned schedules

• Complying with all MaineTouch policies and procedures and participating in required training
