Job summary

Interim HealthCare Inc. is seeking a Home Care Aide (HCA) / Certified Nurse Assistant to support clients in University City and nearby areas. You will provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, and help seniors live safely at home with dignity.

The role offers flexible scheduling, 1:1 client ratios, and opportunities to build skills through online training. A high school diploma, CPR certification, and a valid MO driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• CPR certification preferred
• MO driver’s license with auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helpful personality; good communicator

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation, companionship)
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor
• Maintain a safe home environment with clear pathways
• Engage clients in activities (puzzles, games, reading, hobbies)

As a Home Care Aide/Certified Nurse Assistant, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Care Aides/Certified Nurse Assistants:

• High school diploma (or equivalent)
• Six (6) months of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• CPR certification
• Valid MOdriver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
