Job summary

Mayflower Care Center in El Monte, CA is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a full-time AM shift. You will provide personal care to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse and assist with activities of daily living.

Requirements include active CNA certification, completion of a CNA program, minimum 1 year of sub-acute experience, high school diploma, English literacy, COVID-19 vaccination, and strong physical health with compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification required and CNA program completed.
• Minimum 1 year of Sub-Acute experience.

• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Good physical health to lift/move patients and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to residents under RN supervision.
• Assist with activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreation, and outings.
• Keep the unit organized and running smoothly.
• Answer call lights to meet resident needs.
• Use proper body mechanics and safe transferring techniques.
• Document rounds and report changes to nursing staff.
• Provide companionship and high-quality care.
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment.
• Prioritize activities based on care needs.
• Transport residents to dining and activities.
• Be punctual and professional.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with experience to join our team! AM Shift 4/2 Schedule and NOC shift available

• Active CNA certification with a successful completion of a CNA program
• Minimum one (1) year of Sub-Acute experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 including Booster(s)
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Good physical health to lift and move patients, and/or stand for long periods of time, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Compassion towards residents and their families

Primary Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Responsibilities

• Providing personal care for the residents under the supervision of a licensed and/or registered nurse
• Such care includes assistance with the activities of daily living including dressing, bathing, grooming, dining, recreational activities, and outings
• Organizational skills are required to keep the unit running smoothly
• Answer call lights to determine and meet resident needs
• Use proper body mechanics when necessary
• Perform and document rounds of patients and report any changes
• Provide companionship and excellent care to patients
• Maintain a clean and healthy environment
• Prioritizes patient/resident activities based on current care needs
• Proper lifting and transitioning residents from wheelchair to bed, bed to chair, etc.
• Transporting residents to dining area for meals and activities
• Be punctual and professional
• Other duties as assigned

Pay Scale: $22 to $23 based on experience

Depending on a number of factors, including, but not limited to location, regularly scheduled work shift, knowledge, skills, experience, and expertise.
